Business Development and Sales Associate

Abena North America is seeking a Business Development and Sales Associate to join our Sales Team. This role will be responsible for up-selling and marketing products, introducing new promotions, cold calling and providing exceptional customer service and support to indirect accounts.

A key aspect of this position will be to continuously review existing accounts and offer additional products, based off current purchases and account history. We are seeking someone who thrives off going the extra mile. This candidate must be highly motivated, a self-starter, have a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement and must be able to identify and develop new business opportunities.  This position will be on the phone a LOT, consequently the ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal communication skills.

Lead Generation Duties:

  • Conducts outbound call campaigns to introduce Abena products as solutions to the existing indirect customer base.
  • Extensive cold calling to indirect accounts. Gathering sales intelligence, and passing qualified opportunities to the sales team.
  • Acquiring and cultivating prospect relationships to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Sending prospect customers promotional materials, samples and product literature and following up.
  • Assist in defining marketing campaigns and updating the company’s CRM system. 

 

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System & Sales Support duties:

  • Works collaboratively with our Sales Representatives to maintain and expand our database of prospects.
  • Documents and tracks all call and contact information in CRM system.
  • Assists outside Sales Representatives and the Customer Service Department with product information, samples and customer support.
  • Obtain, distribute and upload to company shared drives, information and documentation relative to all new sales opportunities. 
  • Manage data integrity by consistently verifying data for all opportunities entered into CRM and forwarded through the define sale process.
  • Work with the Sales Manager and Outside Sales Team to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly sales goals and objectives.
  • Assist Customer Service with order entry, customer complaints and incoming phone calls when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years telemarketing and/or inside sales experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or another CRM Software preferred.
  • Excellent phone presentation skills with proficiency in delivery and needs analysis.
  • Experience utilizing social media to generate leads and engage customers/prospects.
  • Experience designing, measuring, and implementing multi-channel lead generation and nurturing campaigns.
  • A quick and eager learner with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Working knowledge of sales and marketing processes.
